Andrew Kirby had just returned from researching human trafficking in India on April 2020. This was when COVID-19 struck and he was unable to travel overseas. Wanting to help people somehow, he came across a overpriced film festival where the contestants might win and be shown once in one movie cinema. The chances of winning were so slim, it seemed like a scam. That gave him the idea to make his own film festival and a streaming channel to be on Roku that everyone who qualified could have their videos on it for an entire year, with the winners being in the "hot list" found in the front. Then it went further into helping students get internships. Now he plans on even developing a better transportable video watching device in the future for travels.
